KUPPET Push for 50% Teachers Salary Hike and Promotions
The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) is fervently advocating for a substantial salary increase of up to 50% for teachers
KUPPET Secretary General Akelo Misori has underscored the urgency of addressing teachers’ remuneration to mitigate the economic challenges they face.
While acknowledging a recent salary increment of 7 to 9.5%, Misori deemed it insufficient to meet teachers’ expectations. He stressed that negotiations for a prospective salary increase are ongoing.
