Simplified Wealth Declaration Process for TSC Employees

The Teachers Service Commission Act 2012, Article 237, mandates the commission to register all qualified teachers before they can teach in any public or private institution.

As part of this registration process, teachers are required to declare their income, assets, and liabilities.

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to navigate the Teachers Online Services Information System to complete your wealth declaration.

For All Employees

Accessing the Portal

  • All TSC employees can be users in the Teachers Online Services Information system.
  • Access the portal through any browser, preferably Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
  • Go to the TSC website (www.tsc.go.ke), click on the “Online Services” menu, and select “Teachers Online Service.”

Creating a Password

  • Enter your TSC number and click “Next.”
  • Provide your mobile number and a valid email address (do not use another person’s email).
  • Set your preferred password and confirm it. Click “Next” to proceed.

Logging into the System

  • Type in your TSC number and password.
  • Select “Wealth Declaration” from the menu and click on “General Info.”

General Information and Bio-data

  • Choose the declaration type: “Bi-Annual” (for declarations every two years), “Starting Declaration” (for newly employed staff), or “Exit Declaration” (for exiting employees).
  • Fill in your place of birth, marital status, postal and permanent address.
  • Click “Next” to save and proceed.

Declaring Income, Assets, and Liabilities

  • Click on the appropriate tab to capture your income, assets, and liabilities.
  • Click “Add/Save” below each category to add more records.

Capturing Spouse(s) and Dependents

  • Enter details of your spouse(s) and dependents.
  • Click “Save” to proceed (repeat the process to add more dependents).

Capturing Other Information

  • Enter any other relevant information and click “Save/Add.”

Capturing Witness Details and Viewing Declaration Summary

  • Enter the witness details and click “Save.”
  • Click “View Summary” to review your declaration.
  • Click “Submit” to complete your declaration (a copy will be sent to your provided email).

For Administrators/Supervisors

Monitoring Declaration of Income, Assets, and Liabilities

  • Click on “Monitor Income, Assets, and Liabilities” after logging in.
  • Check the compliance status and provide reasons for non-compliance.
  • Click “Save” to submit.

Managing User Password

  • To reset your password, click on “Forgot password” and follow the instructions sent to your email.
  • To change your password, go to the “Profile” menu, select “Account,” and enter the new password.

System Log Out

  • Always log out of the system when not in use for security reasons.
