The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has issued a stern warning to all teachers, cautioning them against falling victim to fraudulent schemes involving fake links for teacher registration certificates. The TSC, which oversees teacher affairs and certification in Kenya, has raised concerns about the proliferation of misleading online platforms claiming to offer official registration certificates.
The Commission emphasized its exclusive responsibility for issuing valid teacher registration certificates, and it cautions against treating any other sources as reliable. This warning responds to the concerning proliferation of websites that generate unauthorized links, which has resulted in instances of teachers falling for deceptive online registration procedures.

Important Guidelines for Teachers’ Registration with TSC
It’s important to note that TSC no longer accepts paper applications. Instead, the registration process is entirely digital, and here are some crucial points that all applicants should be aware of:
1. Complete All Sections:
When filling out the registration application, ensure that you complete all sections in full. Leaving any part of the application incomplete may result in delays or rejection.

2. Provide Required Information:
Be meticulous in providing all the necessary information. Accuracy is key to a successful registration process, so double-check your details before submission.
3. Truthful Information:
Providing false information deliberately to the Teachers Service Commission is a serious offence. The law stipulates that those convicted of this offence may face fines of up to Ksh 100,000 or imprisonment for up to twelve (12) months, or both (Section 44 of TSC Act No. 20 of 2012). Honesty is of utmost importance.
4. Save and Continue:
You can save part of the registration form and return to complete it at a later time if necessary. This feature allows you to work on your application at your own pace.

- a. Use only original documents for scanning and uploading.
- b. Expatriate Teachers should attach a letter of clearance from the Ministry of Education Vetting Committee.
6. Application Fee – New Registration:
For new teacher registrations, a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,050 is required. This fee should be paid during the registration process using E-Citizen government payment methods, such as MPesa, Airtel Money, KCB Cash, Equity Cash, or E-Agent. Ensure that the payment is completed before submitting your application.
7. Application Fee – Duplicate Certificate:
If you are applying for a duplicate certificate, a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 2,050 is applicable. This fee should also be paid through E-Citizen government payment methods (MPesa, Airtel Money, KCB Cash, Equity Cash, or E-Agent) before submitting your application.
