TSC Introduces Digital Teacher Registration Certificates

In a move aimed at streamlining and modernizing teacher registration processes, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) of Kenya has announced the introduction of digital teacher registration certificates. This development, effective November 1, 2023, is expected to enhance service efficiency and convenience for educators across the country.

The TSC will issue digital certificates to successful teacher registration applicants, including their unique TSC numbers. Teachers will no longer receive physical certificates; instead, they will have their digital certificates sent to their respective email addresses.

This transition to digital certificates aligns with the global trend of digitization and paperless documentation, simplifying teachers’ access to and management of their registration certificates. To make their certificates usable, teachers must download and print the digital version.

This will provide educators with readily accessible proof of their registration status.

The teaching community has enthusiastically embraced the move, finding it not only simplifies the process but also reduces the risk of physical certificate loss or damage.
