TSC to Promote Grade C3 Primary School Teachers — Machogu
Ezekiel Machogu, the Cabinet Secretary for Education, has declared that Heads of Primary Schools teachers will be elevated from grade C3 and above to become Principals of Junior Schools based in their institutions.
For the year, primary school heads have been principals for pupils who have advanced to grade 7.
Machogu challenged over 10,000 Primary School Heads at the Kenya Primary Schools Head Teachers Association (KEPSHA) Annual General Meeting to embrace accountability, foster inclusivity, and improve Teacher Professional Development.

Collins Oyuu, Secretary General of the Kenya National Union of Teachers, praised the government for confirming Head Teachers as Principals of JSS Schools.
He stated that this action will inspire teachers who have worked hard to continue their education for this opportunity. Oyuu noted that there have been challenges with comprehensive school management, which head teachers handled well.
The Secretary-General went on to commend the administration for ending delocalization and authorizing hiring additional teachers.
