Law to Ban Teachers Who Consume Alcohol from TSC Employment

On Sunday, Farouk Kibet, the personal assistant to President William Ruto, is pushing  for the creation and enactment of a law prohibiting teachers who drink alcohol from holding government jobs.

Farouk, while attending an event at a school in Uasin Gishu County, linked the necessity of the proposed law to the important role teachers play as role models for students, stating that teachers have a fundamental obligation to ensure they are never under the influence in school environments.

He expressly instructed the Majority Leader of the National Assembly, Kimani Ichung’wah, to formulate and pass the necessary legislation.

Kibet affirmed that for individuals applying for teaching positions, the primary consideration during interviews should be their alcohol consumption habits.

Farouk asserted that the primary reason students attend school is to obtain an education, which is frequently impeded by instructors’ occasional consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Ichung’wah withheld immediate certification of tabling the motion for debate in Parliament.

When given the microphone, the Kikuyu legislator chose to remark on Farouk’s influential role within the administration of President William Ruto.

“Access to the President is inaccessible without Farouk’s permission. Even Cabinet Secretaries must go through him in order to meet with the President, he stated.

During the Turbo event, Kibet revealed the existence of local leaders who, according to him, have been deceitfully exploiting parents.

He elaborated that these leaders frequently pose with him and other influential politicians for photographs. With these photos in hand, the con artists proceed to defraud vulnerable parents of substantial sums by claiming to facilitate job connections for their children.

Farouk donated a second bus to a school in Nandi County.

“There is hope for rural students in education. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that their children can compete academically with other Kenyans, he stated.

During the event, Kibet urged students not to marry while underage, disclosing that it is a regional problem.
