KCSE Police Officers Arrested For Abandoning Exams Centre for Drinking Spree
The Geta police station in Cherangany, Trans Nzoia, is holding two police officers for allegedly neglecting their duty. Reports indicate that the officers, tasked with ensuring security during the ongoing KCSE examination, abandoned their responsibilities and engaged in an alcohol spree.
Police report that after delivering the Geography paper I examination papers to the school, the two individuals fled to a nearby retail center, only to return later drunk.
The examination center manager reported the incident while escorting the exams back to the container, leading to the apprehension and detention of the officers pending disciplinary action, as stated in the police report.

They are anticipated to address accusations of consuming alcoholic beverages while in uniform and actively performing their duties in a public area, as well as leaving the duty site without receiving regular release.
This incident adds to the multitude of cases documented across the nation during the ongoing investigation.
Unidentified assailants murdered an officer on Monday while he was accompanying a colleague to Mahero Secondary School in Alego Usonga, Siaya, to deliver examination papers. A colleague was also injured.
The center manager fled for safety, and the thugs, equipped with crude gadgets, fatally struck the officer before escaping with a firearm.
The officers had just disembarked from a school bus that had transported them to the Siaya County headquarters to collect the examination papers.

The exams that commenced on October 23 will conclude with a physics practical this coming Friday.
On Tuesday, the examination schedule includes the sitting for Business Studies Paper 1 and Agriculture Paper 1, followed by Geography Paper 2 and Physics Paper 2 on Wednesday.
The candidates will take Business Paper 2 and Agriculture Paper 2 on Thursday.
