KCSE Exam: Helicopter Blades Struck and Kills Teacher In Garissa
On Tuesday in the Masalani region, a teacher responsible for delivering KCSE papers in Garissa County died after helicopter blades struck him.
Solomon Chesuti, the commissioner of Garissa County, informed the media that the teacher died instantly after coming into contact with one of the propellers.
The teacher was in a haste to board the helicopter that had been assigned for the distribution of exam papers at the time of the incident.
Exam officials have been utilizing helicopters to disseminate examination materials during the national examination period, as heavy rainfall has impeded movement between locations.

Commissioner Chesuti characterized the incident as regrettable, particularly given the students’ eager anticipation for their morning examinations.
The unfortunate occurrence signifies the third helicopter accident incident in the nation within the past twenty-eight hours.
A helicopter that was en route to Arbajahan in Wajir to collect Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) papers crashed on Monday.
The pilot and two passengers received minor injuries during the incident and were subsequently transported to the hospital for medical attention.
At approximately 5:00 pm, shortly thereafter, a Kenya Army helicopter crashed during departure at Wajir Airport.

Online videos depicted the helicopter ascending prior to its abrupt demise.
The Wajir Airport Police Station issued a statement after the occurrence, elucidating that both the pilot and Abey Jimaale, the MCA for the Arabajhan Ward, suffered injuries.
They transferred the two individuals to Wajir County Referral Hospital for specialized care.
The aircraft was transporting provisions to flood-affected regions.
