Over 50 Eregi Girls’ Students Hospitalized for Unknown Illness

On Monday, over fifty students from St. Theresa Eregi Girls High School in Kakamega found themselves hospitalized as a result of an undisclosed illness, which has left both students and medical professionals puzzled.

Some of the students who spoke with NTV reported that they are unable to stand due to weak joints, despite experiencing no discomfort.

The situation has raised concerns among the school community and parents, as the exact cause of the illness remains unknown. Thirteen of the affected students are currently undergoing medical examinations and treatment at Kakamega Referral Hospital.

Hospital authorities have refrained from providing detailed information or comments about the cases, explaining that further testing and investigations are necessary to ascertain the root cause of the condition.
