TSC Recruitment Interviews: Teachers’ Document Verification Begins on Monday – All Needed Documents
The verification of documents for candidates who applied for the 35,550 teaching positions advertised by the Teacher’s Service Commission (TSC) will begin on Monday, November 16 in all six sub-county offices in Nyeri.
According to Elijah Omwenga, director of the Nyeri County TSC, all applicants would be expected to submit their authentic credentials throughout the application process.
The first group of candidates to be confirmed on Monday of next week will be those seeking employment as teachers in primary schools.
The Kamwenja Teachers’ College in Mathari is set to host the verification process for permanent and intern secondary school teachers between January 17 and January 19.
Mr. Omwenga stated that the county anticipates 667 additional teachers as a result of the massive recruiting, which he called the largest in the history of teacher recruitment.
Omwenga stated that 21 permanent and pensionable teachers will be posted to primary schools, while 85 intern teachers will be hired for primary schools.
396 intern teachers will be posted to secondary schools, while 165 permanent and pensionable teachers will be hired by TSC.
“The exercise is a very good boost for us as a county, as it will go a long way in alleviating the existing gaps as it will make us operate better.
“We may not reach the 100 percent requirements of teacher-student ratio but it is an excellent step forward,” said Omwenga in an interview at the County TSC offices.
