PSC Leadership Program for Government Employees Announced; How to Apply
The Public Service Commission (PSC) unveiled life-changing opportunities for government employees on Thursday, January 18.
PSC stated through a public notice that it would collaborate with Emerging Public Leaders, USA and Emerging Leaders Foundation – Africa to offer a one-year leadership fellowship program.
The chance is open to government personnel from various state departments and Judicial Service Commission members (JSC).
“PSC is receiving applications from suitable public officers who would want to have a fully paid leadership program.
“The program develops young public officers into effective leaders through a variety of approaches,” part of the announcement read.
PSC disclosed that a range of strategies would be utilized to teach officers to be effective leaders.
They consist of residential training, experiential learning, mentoring, job shadowing, coaching, conferences, and assignments.
Requirements for consideration
You must have worked for at least three years in a state department or JSC in government to qualify.
You must be employed under permanent pensionable terms at the time of application.
Additionally, you must possess a bachelor’s degree from a reputable university and have graduated in 2016 or later.Applicants must be 18 to 35 years of age.
How to apply
Applicants who meet the aforementioned requirements must submit a 500-word essay explaining why they believe they are qualified for the program.
The essay must be submitted online using the PSC’s job portal at www.psckjobs.go.ke.The application submission date is January 24, 2023.
