Njoro Sub-county Deputy County Commissioner (DCC), David Mbevi, emphasized the importance of preventing political interference in the teacher employment process, asserting that such interference negatively impacts education standards in the Country.
Speaking in Njoro, the DCC pointed out that politicians often influence teachers to move to schools of their preference, disregarding the needs of the schools they were initially assigned to by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

He highlighted that the TSC strategically places teachers to ensure balanced deployment, and any deviation caused by political interventions compromises the educational quality in affected schools.
The DCC encouraged teachers to embrace their responsibilities wholeheartedly, overcoming challenges, and contributing to the optimal development of students.
According to him, this approach fosters unity and transcends tribal influences, providing every learner with an equal chance to realize their potential.
Mbevi underscored the importance of political support for the TSC’s initiatives, urging politicians to encourage teachers to fulfill their roles effectively in the assigned schools.
