More Students Certified in Craft and Artistry
More vocational training centers are presenting students for national examinations administered by the national examination council (KNEC).
According to an analysis of a report by the Kenya National Examination Council (Knec), 1,765 candidates received craft certificates for their July 2020 exams.
Due to a delay caused by Covid-19, these tests were completed in January 2021.
According to the Knec report titled Vocational Training Centers Offering Certificate Courses, 1,072 candidates who took the exams received artisan certificates.
539 of them received the National Vocational Certificate of Education and Training (NVCET).
Further examination of the report reveals that 6%, or approximately 102 candidates, came from vocational training centers.
Another 94%, or 1,660 candidates, came from technical and vocational colleges.
The Kenya Science and Engineering Fair, as well as drama competitions, will be held in term one of 2023, according to the PS.
According to Acting KMF Executive Secretary Janet Langat, music directors will use the 2021 syllabus to attract additional classes in line with this year’s theme, ‘Kenya My Pride, My Future.’
“I wish to inform you that we shall be using the 2021 KMF syllabus and set pieces during this year’s festival; however, some additional set pieces will be communicated to you in the week,” said Langat.
She stated that all other preliminary festivals’ dates will be announced soon.

The music festival is a yearly event that seeks out and develops artistic talent.
