
List of Top Performing High Schools – 2022 KCSE Results
Traditional Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) major stars had mixed results in the 2022 results announced on Friday, January 20.
Despite the Ministry of Education’s decision to abandon the ranking system and the practice of recognizing individual top performers, an examination of the results revealed that several national schools faced significant competition from county schools.
Here are four schools that did particularly well in the 2022 KCSE exams:
Nyambaria High School- Nyamira
Nyambaria High School in Nyamira County put on a remarkable performance after scoring a mean of 10.9 on the 2022 KCSE exam.After all candidates received the minimum grade of C+ required for enrollment, the school recorded a 100% transition to universities.
The centre’s 28 candidates scored the coveted A grade, while 383 scored an A-. According to the scoring sheet, the lowest candidate scored a B plan.
Cardinal Otunga Mosocho
Still in South Nyanza, Cardinal Otunga High School in Kisii County achieved a spectacular result with an impressive mean score of 10.76.
28 candidates who took their national exams at the center received an A plain, while 201 received an A minus.
The lowest candidate scored a mean grade of B- (minus), ensuring straight admission to the university for the whole cohort.
Kitale St. Anthony’s
St. Anthony High School in Kitale was likewise among the top achievers in the country, with a mean score of 10.33.

To establish itself as a major player in secondary school education, the school had 41 of its candidates receive an A plain, while 148 received an A minus.
Mang’u High School
Mang’u High School in Kiambu County likewise excelled, ensuring its place as a household name in secondary education.
The school received a mean score of 10.36, which was a little improvement over its previous year’s achievement of 10.28.Furthermore, 81 candidates received an A-plus grade, while 192 received an A-minus grade.
Other outstanding performances included Nandi County’s Kapsabet Boys High School with a mean score of 10.76 and Kagumo High School with an MSS of 9.58.
