KDF Soldier Arrested For Defiling 12-Year-Old School-Girl.
Detectives arrested a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier on Sunday afternoon in Langas, Uasin Gishu county, for defiling a 12-year-old minor.
Elly Kipkoech, a KDF Private based at 9KA, Second Brigade, is currently a guest of the state at Langas Police Station for claiming the innocence of a 12-year-old girl who attends a local public primary school in Eldoret town.
The minor, who returned home around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night, told her worried mother that she had been held hostage by a man who took advantage of her.
During further questioning, the mother noticed blood stains on her daughter’s undergarments and begged her to reveal the perpetrator’s identity.

Following her report, Eldoret-based detectives used digital and cyber forensics to track down the suspect, who had gone into hiding at the Green Park estate and apprehended him.

After being positively identified by the victim, Private Elly Kipkoech is currently being processed for arraignment in accordance with military parlance.
