
How to Apply for Advertised Paid Internship Positions at the Media Council.
The Kenyan Media Council (MCK) has announced paid internship opportunities for the fiscal year 2022-2023.
The industrial placement program will run from September to November, according to a July 16 statement.
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Ksh15,000 for the three months.
The Program is designed to give journalism students practical work experience before graduation and to prepare them for the job market.
The interns will be placed in reputable media organizations across the country in the following specializations: editorial, radio, television, digital, and corporate communications.
“Students pursuing degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media, or Public Relations who meet the above requirements are eligible to apply,” the MCK statement read in part.
Requirements
The three-month program will target final-year students from accredited universities or community colleges.
They will be required to submit an application letter as well as a recommendation letter from their respective institutions of higher learning.
Applicants must also provide academic transcripts, an MCK Student ID, and valid registration numbers from their universities or colleges.
They will also be required to submit evidence of their published work or broadcast content as part of the application process.
Students who are interested must submit all requirements through the MCK online portal.
