HELB Announces Ksh450k Postgraduate Scholarships: How to Apply.
The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has opened a scholarship application window for students pursuing postgraduate programs (Masters or PhD) at local public or private universities.
HELB announced in a statement that the scholarship award for Masters and PhD students is worth Ksh200,000 and Ksh450,000, respectively.
The scholarship is valid for two years for a Masters program and three years for a PhD program.
All applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of Ksh3,000 on the site’s payment tab.
Part of the statement read, “Do not pay any individual to process your Postgraduate Scholarship Application.”
The application deadline has been set for August 31, 2022.
Eligibility
Students interested in the scholarships must have at least a Second-Class Honors, Upper Division undergraduate degree.
Furthermore, applicants pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Innovation, and Fisheries will be given preference.
The applicant must have a letter of acceptance into a full-time or part-time Postgraduate university program.
How to Apply
After registering, the HELB Postgraduate Scholarship application form is available in the Student Portal.
The applicant must access, register, and fill out the Postgraduate Scholarship Application (PGSA).
Once completed, click and submit the application, then download and print the PGSA.

Proceed to have the PGSA signed and stamped by the appropriate authorities, and attach all of the required documents as outlined in the checklist.
