500 Boxes of Government JSS Textbooks Found Abandoned Inside Forest In Nyamira
Police in Keiyo South, led by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the abandonment of 500 boxes of government textbooks designated for Junior Secondary School in Nyamira North and Nyamira South.
The discovery of these discarded textbooks occurred along the Kaptagat Kaptarakwa Marum Road inside Kaptagat Forest on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Preliminary investigations suggest a potential hijacking incident wherein the culprits took control of the vehicle transporting the educational materials. Following this, the hijackers unloaded the textbooks along the roadside and absconded with the vehicle.
Authorities are actively pursuing leads to uncover the motives behind this unusual occurrence, sparking concerns regarding the safety and security of educational resources within the region.
