229,000 Teachers Trained On CBC As TSC Trains 60,000 MoreDr. Reuben Nthamburi, Director of Quality Assurance at the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), noted that a multi-agency team has trained over 229, 000 teachers so far, ensuring that all sectors and types of learners have their needs met in an effort to leave no one behind.Nthamburi stated that they are collaborating with the Ministry of Education, the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA), the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE), the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), and the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) to train teachers who have been assigned to the teacher training program.On Monday, during the SemaNaSpox zoom discussion, Nthamburi stated that they have successfully trained the teachers who are now executing the grade six class, which has recently begun.“We have started training the teachers for junior secondary and so far we have enrolled over 60, 000 who are going to be handling junior secondary from January 2023.
