TSC Releases Merit Lists; How To Check.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) publicly released the names of shortlisted candidates for 14,460 vacancies across the country on Tuesday, July 19.
The commission had announced 5,000 new vacancies as well as an additional 8,230 slots to replace teachers who had left the service due to natural attrition.
According to media reports, over 356,000 tutors applied for the jobs, with post-primary teaching positions attracting the most applicants, with 219,311 teachers expressing interest in the 4,000 vacancies available.
In addition, 136,833 primary school tutors applied for the 1,000 available positions. In addition, the commission received over 327,882 applications for the 8,230 vacancies left by teachers who left due to natural attrition.
TSC also used affirmative action to target schools in drought-stricken counties such as Mandera, Garissa, and Wajir.
The commission initially advertised 386 positions on contractual terms, 114 for primary schools and 272 for secondary schools, to fill vacancies in Garissa, Mandera, and Wajir.
“To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should be a Kenyan citizen, be hailing from Garissa, Mandera or Wajir Counties, be teaching under Board of Management in Garissa, Mandera or Wajir Counties,” read part of the notice.
Candidates who applied for the position should visit TSC’s website at tsc.go.ke.

Documents categorize in multiple counties will be arranged in descending order.
Choose the document based on the county in which the teacher applied and click download.
