TSC Internship Vacancies 2023; How to Apply
The Teachers Service Commission is advertising 450 internship vacancies in secondary schools for qualified candidates.
To apply, interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under “Careers” or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke before March 22, 2023.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for recruitment, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:
i) Must be a Kenyan citizen;
ii) Should have at least a diploma in education with a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in two teaching subjects in KCSE or its equivalent;
iii) Must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.
GENERAL INFORMATION
i) TSC will not consider manual Applications.
ii) The Teachers Service Commission’s Recruitment Guidelines for the recruitment of Teacher Interns 2022/2023 Financial Year (Post Primary Institutions) shall apply;
iii) Succesful candidates will present original academic and professional certificates;
iv) Selection of candidates will be strictly based on merit and the number of vacancies per County.
v) Candidates who have previously worked for the Teachers Service Commission on a permanent and pensionable basis, as well as those who have completed the TSC internship program, are not eligible to apply.
vi) Applicants may apply to two schools with available vacancies, provided they are suitable for the position.
vii) Successful candidates may only accept one offer of internship engagement. Taking more than one offer will result in disqualification.
viii) Interns must have personal accident insurance to cover any personal risks during their internship period.
NOTE:
a) The Teacher Internship Program is a one-year program designed to equip and maintain the competencies of individuals entering the teaching profession. The program targets registered, unemployed teachers who will be assigned to schools where they will receive mentorship, coaching, and practical teaching experience.
b) During the verification/interview process, applicants must provide the following documents: teacher registration certificate/ printout from TSC online portal, National Council for Persons with Disability card (if applicable), National ID or passport, two color passport photos, NHIF card, and KRA PIN.
DURATION OF INTERNSHIP: The internship period will last for twelve months.
