Panic Over Mysterious Disappearance of School Principal In Kirinyaga
Following the mysterious disappearance of a secondary school principal in Kirinyaga County, his family, friends, and colleagues have been left in a state of panic.
Sebastian Njiru Gikunju, 56, the principal of Olokurto Secondary School in Narok North sub-county, has been missing since Tuesday last week, according to the principal’s family members.
Mr. Gikunju’s wife Anne stated that the teacher informed the family that he was leaving for Meru County for the Narok North Sub-county principal conference but has not been reached since.
Anne, a teacher at a nearby secondary school, said her husband passed at their Mutithi village home before telling them he was going to Meru.
“He came with another vehicle and told us his vehicle had an accident and he left it in a garage,” Anne said.
Wilson Koskei, the police commander for Mwea West Sub-county, said a network signal tracing revealed that the principal had never left Mwea town before his phone went off last Wednesday.
According to the police chief, detectives have begun an investigation, and the incident has been reported to police in Narok, Meru, and Kirinyaga counties.
