KUCCPS Opens Inter-Institution Transfers; How to Apply

The KCSE class of 2022 will now be able to switch or transfer their chosen institution or course.

This is the result of the Kenya Universities and College Placement Service opening its portal for inter-institution transfer applications.

Applicants are urged to submit their applications through the KUCCPS student portal at http://students.kucc.edu.net.

The deadline, however, is August 15, 2023.

Education CS Ezekiel Machogu announced last week that 285,167, 2022 KCSE students gained admission to universities and colleges.

In 282 training institutions, students are eligible for degrees, diplomas, certificates, and artisan courses.

870.561 candidates were eligible for university and college placement. According to Machogu, a total of 285,698 pupils submitted placement applications to the institutions.

140,107 students were accepted into degree programs, including 130,485 at public universities and 9,622 at private institutions.

Machogu expressed concern over the fact that 408 879 pupils did not enroll in degree or diploma programs.

He urged those who did not submit an application to do so, noting that they can still secure a spot.

“We hope they will be able to apply because there is still space in our universities and technical institutions,” he said.
