KUCCPS Offers Govt Sponsorship To 2000 – 2021 KCSE Candidates; Requirements & How To Apply
All Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates who took the national exam between 2000 and 2021 can re-enroll in a government-sponsored program to earn technical skills.
Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services (KUCCPS) announced over 300,000 sponsorship slots to be filled on Thursday, October 6.
According to a statement issued on Thursday, October 6, interested candidates can be placed in diploma, craft, and artisan certificate programs for the January 2023 intake.
“All KCSE certificate holders who sat the examination from the year 2000 to 2021 and have not benefited from government sponsorship for TVET training are eligible to apply where they meet the minimum requirements,” read part of the statement.
Applicants have until Friday, October 7 to Sunday, October 16 to submit their applications, according to the statement.
Requirements
The statement also stated the applicants’ minimum requirements. A mean grade of D-(minus) or lower is required for the Artisan Certificate Course.
For Craft and Certificate Courses, an applicant must have a mean grade of D (plain) or higher, and for Diploma Courses, an applicant must have a C- (minus) or higher.
How to Apply
Applicants should go to the KUCCPS website, www.kuccps.ac.ke, and access the student portal.
To log in to the system, the online application requires personal information to be entered.
Include your KCSE index number, year of enrollment, and password.
It is important to note that your password can be either your birth certificate number or the KCSE index number.
Once logged in, you can select up to four courses, ranging from the most interesting to the least.
Press the submit button.
