KNEC: Only Authorized Personnel Allowed in Examination Centers
The Kenya National Examination Council’s (KNEC) chief executive officer has banned unauthorized personnel from being permitted in any examination centers.
Njeng’ere announced that, starting this year, the collection of the KCSE examination papers will be conducted twice in the container.
Njeng’ere emphasized that only center managers, supervisors, and invigilators will access examination centers. He urged everyone to assist in enforcing this measure to the fullest extent.
Before the start of the exam period, he said, center managers will be required to compile a list of all on-duty support staff and transmit it to the subcounty directors of education.

In the meantime, CS Machogu issued a warning to the officers and candidates responsible for the national examinations in 2023.
He stated that the ministry would not spare anyone implicated in misconduct.
Machogu stated that his ministry would ensure that appropriate action is taken against officers who violate the established rules and regulations.
He emphasized that the government would not exempt anyone found to be involved in facilitating cheating during examinations.
He urged all personnel participating in the national examinations to carry out their responsibilities with the utmost professionalism and in accordance with the established guidelines.

Machogu emphasized that all individuals involved in overseeing this year’s examinations and assessments must maintain integrity in the execution of their duties and remain vigilant to prevent any form of misconduct.
