Kapsabet Boys High School maintained their dominance in the recently released KCSE examination with a mean score of 10.19.

Kapsabet Boys had 52 candidates who received A plain, 150 (A -), 153 (B+), 71 (B), 37 (B-), 11 (C+), and eight received C plain in the 2022 KCSE results.

However, 474 of the 482 candidates met the required university requirements, while eight received a grade C and qualified to join TVET.

Teachers at neighboring Kapsabet Girls High were overjoyed when the institution achieved improved results, with two candidates receiving A plain.

According to the school’s main principal, Mary Kiprob, her school’s results improved from 8.5 to 8.99 points over the previous year.

The school has two A plains, 25 (A -), 69 (B+), 120 (B), 83 (B-), 21 (C+), and two C plains, with a transition rate of 99 percent.

In the 2022 examination class, Kapsabet Girls had 322 candidates.

Kiprob stated that she is pleased with the results, but that there is potential for improvement.

According to the results issued on Friday by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, Kapsabet Boys experienced a little dip in their mean score compared to previous year’s results, when the institution scored 10.5.

Kipchumba Maiyo, the school’s chief principal, praised his students and commended parents, teachers, and candidates for a “work well done.”

Other secondary schools in the county saw improvements, including Meteitei Boy’s, Koitalel Samoei High, and Fr Boyle Secondary School.

Meteitei principal Barnaba Too stated that the team’s performance was in line with previous results.

The biggest surprise in Nandi was Samoei High, which posted a mean score of 9.8922 for the first time in history.

The school, named after the great Nandi chieftain Koitatalel Samoei and officially established by the late Tom Mboya in 1969, had three candidates who scored A plain.

They had 50 students with an A minus, 137 with a B+, 74 with a B, four with a B-, and one with a C+.

Kiptoo Kimosop, the school principal, announced the results.

Koitalel Samoei University, a constituent university of the University of Nairobi, is also hosted at the school.
