Govt Scholarships to KCPE Students; How to Apply. The Ministry of Education is collaborating with Equity Bank to provide scholarships to a select group of students who took the KCPE exams in public schools in 2021.The MOE stated in a local dailies advertisement that the Elimu Scholarships are available in all 47 Counties, including informal settlements in 15 urban centres, to needy and vulnerable learners who scored 280 or higher.“For affirmative action, candidates who are orphans and those with special needs and disabilities who attained below 280 marks may also be considered."Only candidates who sat the 2021 KCPE examinations from public primary schools in all 47 Counties in the Country are eligible,” the advertisement read.The scholarship covers school fees, transportation to and from school, and a school supply.The scholarship covers school fees, transportation to and from school, a school kit, and a stipend (pocket money) for the four-year education period.Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements;- They must have special needs or disabilities (Physical, Hearing and Visual Impairments, Autism, Albinism, Learning Disabilities and others)- They must be orphans or children in vulnerable situations. Candidates from 15 urban informal settlements; or Candidates: whose parents/guardians have disabilities that limit their ability to meet their children’s financial obligations.- They must be candidates from families affected by HIV/AIDS or other chronic illnesses with debilitating effects that could leave parents and guardians destitute and unable to care for their families.- The candidate’s families are impoverished, making it impossible for them to educate their children.- Candidates who have been neglected or abused and do not have the financial means to continue their education.How to UseALSO READ:Interested applicants should obtain scholarship application forms from their local Equity Bank branch or Equity Bank Agent.Application forms can also be downloaded from the Ministry of Education’s and Equity Group Foundation’s websites, respectively: education.go.ke and https://egfdmis.equity bank.co.ke/register elimu.Govt Scholarships to KCPE Students; How to Apply
