Drama as Parent Bites Headteacher and Pupils in Embu School
Wednesday brought drama to Kirigi Primary School in Manyatta Constituency, Embu County, when a parent went wild and bit a head teacher and two students after being summoned for her son’s failure to complete his assignments.
The crazy incident occurred at approximately 9 a.m., when a parent identified as Charity Wanja arrived at the school and went directly to the office of the headteacher, where she allegedly picked a fight with her over the summons.
After this brief dispute, she grabbed the head teacher, Catherine Karimi, and severely bit her forefinger. She then went on to bite the fingers of two eighth-grade students who came to their teacher’s rescue after she raised the alarm.
While verifying the incident, area chief Lincoln Kithaka stated that the woman was apprehended by patrolling officers who heard a disturbance within the school’s grounds.
According to him, the suspect is being held at the Kirigi Police Post pending his arraignment on assault allegations.
The administrator reported that the victims (two students and a teacher) recorded their statements at the police station before proceeding to the hospital.
