Decomposing Body Of Missing Retired Teacher Found In A Thicket

In Kericho County, police have initiated an investigation following the discovery of the body of a retired teacher in a thicket.

The retired educator, who had been missing since the previous Sunday, was located in Chemoset village within Seretut, Belgut Sub County.

An undisclosed official from the provincial administration, preferring anonymity, disclosed that the former teacher is suspected to have taken his own life.

According to the police, the deceased had a rope around his neck, and it is believed that he fell from a tree on which he had hanged himself.

Family members had reported the teacher missing, prompting a search operation. Unfortunately, the outcome of the search revealed the decomposing body in the thicket.

Responding swiftly, officers from Sosiot police station arrived at the scene and subsequently transported the body to Kericho Referral Hospital mortuary.
