The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) recently released an official announcement on May 26, revealing 488 job vacancies for teachers and teaching interns throughout the country.

  1. Internships in Junior Secondary Schools: 328 positions
  2. Internships in Public Secondary Schools: 16 positions

  4. Contractual Teachers in Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera: 88 positions

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Citizenship: All applicants must be Kenyan citizens.
  2. Education Qualification: A minimum of a diploma in Education is required.
  3. TSC Registration: Applicants must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.
  4. Academic Achievement: A mean grade of C+ and C+ in two teaching subjects is mandatory for intern positions.

Required Documents:

When submitting their applications, candidates must ensure they provide the following essential documents:

  1. Teacher Registration Certificate (copy)
  2. National Council for Persons with Disability (NCPWD) card (if applicable)
  3. National Identity Card or passport (copy)
  4. Two recent color passport-size photographs
  5. National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) details
  6. Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number (KRA PIN)

The Teachers Service Commission emphasizes the following key points for applicants:

Application Timeline:

The recruitment process for teachers and interns will commence on May 25, 2023, and run until June 26, 2023.

Additionally, the promotion of teachers will occur between May 25, 2023, and July 28, 2023.
