RE: THE ANNUAL NATIONAL SCIENCE CONTEST
Baricho Boys High School is delighted to extend an invitation to your school to participate in the prestigious ANNUAL NATIONAL SCIENCE CONTEST.
The event will take place on SATURDAY, 8th JULY 2023, starting at 7:30 AM. The primary objective of this contest is to demystify SCIENCE SUBJECTS among students, thereby enhancing their performance in this crucial field of study.
The rewards for the contest will be categorized into four levels: National, Extra County, County, and Sub-county schools.
We aim to provide a platform for students to showcase their scientific knowledge and skills, while fostering healthy competition and academic growth.
Each participating team will consist of 5 Form Four students, 3 Form Three students, and 2 Form Two students.
It is important to note that each student will only participate in one subject.
To facilitate the smooth running of the contest, each team is required to contribute a registration fee of Ksh 2,500 (Two thousand five hundred shillings only).
In recognition of the importance of the contest, senior examiners will provide facilitation for Form Three and Form Four students in the three science subjects, as they will be involved in marking ongoing exams.
The contest itself will be conducted, marked, and rewards will be awarded on the same day.
The topics covered in the contest will encompass a range of subject areas, including:
Physics:
– Equilibrium of the center of gravity
– Work, energy, power, and machines
– Mains electricity
Chemistry:
– Structure and bonding
– Moles
– Electrochemistry
Biology:
– Evolution
– Gaseous exchange
– Ecology
