“We have to ensure that there is affirmative action which takes into account geographical distribution of this country,” Magoha said.

The 2021 KCPE exams were taken by 1,214,031 students, with 11,857 students scoring 400 or higher.
Another 315,275 received scores ranging from 300 to 399, while 578,197 received scores ranging from 200 to 299.
The 126 national schools in the country had 33,009 slots in the 2020 form one selection.
Extra-county schools had 184,816 available slots, county schools had 188,454 available slots, and sub-county schools had 669,145 available slots.

There were 777 slots available in special needs education schools.
The numbers are expected to rise due to an increase in the number of students who took the exams in 2021 compared to 2020.
George Magoha also warned Kenyans against undergoing unnecessary cosmetic surgery.
Magoha advocated for therapeutic plastic surgeries while speaking to surgeons at a surgeons’ conference in Mombasa on Wednesday.
The CS alluded to the late singer Michael Jackson, who underwent plastic surgery, which is thought to have contributed to his death.
“Now that he is dead, I can talk about Michael Jackson, he was more beautiful before he did all that plastic surgery,” Magoha said.
Furthermore, the CS stated that he admires his appearance.
“I know I am not good looking, but I love my face a lot. Even with my big nose, I love my body,” Magoha said.

According to the CS, the plastic surgery that people should emphasize is one that is beneficial to the patients, such as those who have a lot of burns on their body.
Magoha urged doctors to be mindful of their pricing for surgeries, noting that operations that can be performed in Kenya can be performed in India for half the price.
