KUCCPS Sheds Light On University Selection Portal for KCSE StudentsThe Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has flagged a viral notice claiming that its portal is open for university, college, and TVET applications for the academic year 2022/2023.A KUCCPS representative told Kenyans.co.ke that the public should disregard the information and that official communication would be posted on their official channels.The representative also stated that the KUCCPS portal has yet to be activated.Candidates who had recently completed their national examinations and had yet to apply to universities, colleges, and TVET institutions could do so, according to the forged notice.The notice also stated that candidates must enter their KCSE index number, year of examination, and birth certificate number as their password.According to the notice, students with a minimum of a C+ can apply for degree programs at both public and private universities across the country.“It’s now official that the KUCCPS portal is now open for 2022/2023 University, College, and TVET applications. Students who completed their secondary school studies and are yet to apply can now log into the KUCCPS site for application. Input your KCSE index number, KCSE year and use your birth certificate number as your password.”“Students who scored a minimum of a C+ can apply for degree courses in both the public and private universities country wide,” read part of the fake notice.
