The class eight student will attend Serve Progressive Academy in Sabatia, Vihiga County, but will take his KCPE exams at Nyamninia Primary School.

According to reports, the student will be accompanied by teachers during the KCPE period to his original examination center, where he will take the national exam.

His plight became public after a video of him lamenting and showing injuries allegedly inflicted by his teacher for failing to achieve 400 marks went viral.

The video sparked outrage across the country because the minor was crying and threatening to quit school after being subjected to corporal punishment.

The boy explained in the video how a teacher flogged him for failing to meet the target score, leaving him with serious body injuries.

The student claimed that he had been subjected to the same corporal punishment over a period of time by a teacher who wanted him to get 400 points.

“The more I continue persevering, the more they continue beating me. I have endured for 11 years, but right now, I can’t take it anymore,” the boy lamented as tears rolled down his cheeks.

“They are beating me like this because of 400 marks? They should just let me achieve what I am capable of achieving but not force me to get 400 marks. What should I do now?” wondered the pupil.
