Uhuru Secondary Closed Following School Fire, Death of Student.
Pain and grief engulfed Uhuru secondary school after a form four student died under mysterious circumstance.
Following the death of a student in mysterious circumstances, Uhuru Secondary School in Nairobi was shut down permanently on Monday.
The cause of a fire that started at the school on Sunday night and destroyed two dorms is being looked into by police.
The student, according to the police, was unaffected by the fire, and the cause of the death has not yet been determined.
The student allegedly told his friends that he wasn’t feeling well after leaving the field following a basketball game, according to witnesses and the police.
Prior to being brought to the school sickbay, he dozed off but became unconscious.
Since there was no attendant there, the administration was forced to transport him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
