TSC Warn Teachers on Sharing Fake Exam Materials as Govt Identifies Social Media Platforms Spreading ‘Leakages’
TSC boss Dr. Nancy Macharia has reminded all teachers of their responsibilities in upholding the educational standards of Kenya and ensuring the credibility of the examination process.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has issued a warning to all teachers regarding the sharing and dissemination of fake examination materials through various social media platforms.
In TSC Circular No. 13/2023, addressed to all teachers, the commission cites Section 44 of the Kenya National Examination Council Act. “The Commission is
mandated to provide Resource Persons employed and/or registered as teachers to assist in the administration of examinations on a temporary basis.”
The government has identified specific Social Media Platforms that are engaging in the dissemination of such fake exam materials. These platforms have been flagged to prevent the spread of misleading information.
List of Prohibited Platforms
To ensure the integrity of the upcoming 2023 National Examinations, all teachers have been strongly advised to refrain from sharing or disseminating any information originating from the mentioned social media platforms.
The circular emphasizes that engaging in such actions will be treated as a serious violation and considered examination malpractice.
