TSC Recruitment Dissatisfaction: How to File a Complaint; A Step-by-Step Process

The Teacher Service Commission (TSC) strives to maintain a fair and transparent recruitment process.

However, in cases where applicants are dissatisfied with the process, there are specific steps they can take to address their concerns.

This article outlines the steps that applicants should follow if they encounter dissatisfaction during the TSC recruitment process.

1. Submitting a Written Complaint to the TSC County Director:

Any applicant who is dissatisfied with the process must promptly submit a written complaint to the TSC County Director and send an email to the TSC Headquarters at dirstaffinq@tsc.go.ke within seven (7) days of the selection process;

2. Analysis and Response by the TSC County Director:

Within seven (7) days of the conclusion of the selection process, the TSC County Director must analyze and respond to any and all complaints lodged, and promptly notify the headquarters of the action taken:

3. Appeal to the Appeals Committee on Staffing Functions:

If an applicant is dissatisfied with the TSC County Director’s decision, or if a complaint is filed against the TSC County Director, the applicant may file an appeal with the Appeals Committee on Staffing Functions at TSC Headquarters. Within fourteen (14) days, the Appeals Committee shall investigate the allegations and take appropriate action.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Merit Lists shall are made available to members of the public who request them in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 2019 and in a manner that does not jeopardize the recruitment process.

The TSC County Directors should be consulted for clarification and advice regarding qualification-related questions raised by these guidelines.

Despite the decentralization of the teacher recruitment function under Section 20 of the TSC Act, the Commission is permitted to conduct recruitment directly from the TSC Headquarters.
