TSC Re-Advertisement Vacancies For JSS Internship Posts (1,098): Qualifications and How to Apply
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill 1,098 internship vacancies in Junior Schools.
This re-advertisement specifically targets individuals in the following counties: Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Tana-River, Marsabit, Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu, Turkana, Murang’a, Nyeri, Samburu, Isiolo, and Kajiado.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the Commission’s official website www.tsc.go.ke under the “Careers” section or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke not later than 15th December 2023.

ELIGIBILITY:
To qualify for recruitment, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Hold at least a diploma in education with a minimum mean Grade of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in two teaching subjects in KCSE or its equivalent.
- Be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- The Teachers Service Commission will not consider manual applications.
- The Commission’s Recruitment Guidelines for the recruitment of Teacher Interns for the 2023/2024 Financial Year (Post Primary Institutions) shall apply.
- Shortlisted candidates must present their original academic and professional certificates.
- Selection of candidates will strictly be on merit and based on the number of vacancies per County.
- Previous employees on permanent and pensionable terms and those who have served under the TSC internship programme are not eligible.
- Each applicant can apply in two schools where appropriate vacancies have been declared.
- Successful candidates must not accept more than one Offer of Internship Engagement.

DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:
The internship period will be for twelve (12) months.
MONTHLY STIPEND:
While this engagement is not remunerative, teacher interns attached to secondary schools will be eligible for a monthly stipend of Kshs. 20,000. The stipend is paid subject to statutory deductions, where applicable.
INTERNSHIP CERTIFICATE:
Upon successful completion of the Internship Programme, teacher interns will be awarded a certificate.
