TSC Re-Advert & Recruitment Roadmap
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya has announced a recruitment exercise for teaching vacancies. The process will take place between March and May 2023. Here is an outline of the key activities and timelines:
Firstly, the TSC will advertise the vacant posts on March 9th, 2023. Candidates who wish to apply have 14 days to submit their online applications through the Commission’s website. The online application window will close on March 22nd, 2023.
Next, between March 23rd and March 24th, 2023, the TSC will generate a list of applicants and invite them to verify their documents.
The county recruitment process will then take place from April 3rd to April 4th, 2023, followed by vetting at county level, handling complaints, signing, and issuance of internship agreements and letters of internship engagement, which will take place from April 5th to April 6th, 2023.
On April 11th, 2023, the TSC will report the successful candidates to schools, and on April 13th and 14th, 2023, County Directors will submit the recruitment documents to the TSC headquarters.
The reporting status of the counties will then be submitted by May 12th, 2023, and the exit report to the CEO must be submitted by May 31st, 2023.
It is important to note that only Kenyan citizens who hold a minimum of a Diploma in Education and are registered teachers with the TSC are eligible for the recruitment.
Also, the TSC warns applicants against fraudsters who may extort money from unsuspecting persons purporting to assist in recruitment.
Any fraudulent activity should be reported to the nearest TSC office or the Teachers Service Commission headquarters, and details on available vacancies per county/schools are on the TSC website.
