Eligibility

Before considering applying for the TSC Internship Programme, it’s important to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements. The following criteria must be fulfilled:

i) Kenyan Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of Kenya to be eligible for the programme.

ii) Educational Qualifications: Candidates should hold at least a diploma in education with a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in two teaching subjects in KCSE or its equivalent.

iii) Registration with Teachers Service Commission: It is necessary to be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.

Benefits / Stipends

Although the TSC Internship Programme is not a remunerative engagement, teacher interns attached to secondary schools are eligible for a monthly stipend of Kshs. 20,000/-.

However, please note that the stipend will be paid subject to statutory deductions, where applicable.

Successful Completion and Certification

Upon successfully completing the Internship Programme, teacher interns will be awarded a certificate.
