The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has established a comprehensive application form for teachers interested in inter-County, intra-County, or Sub-County transfers.

The Transfer Application Form, TSC/TM/TA/001 (Rev. 2012), is designed for teachers seeking transfers within the Kenyan education system.

Key Sections of the Transfer Application Form:
Personal Information: Complete your full name (in block capitals, with the surname first), TSC number, mobile number, and email address.
Teaching Subjects: Indicate the subjects you teach.
Job Group: Specify your job group.
Current Station: Provide the name of your current station, including the Sub-County and County. Include the length of time you’ve been at your present school and within the same Sub-County.
Present Assignment: Describe your current role or assignment.
Requested Transfer: Identify the institution and location (Sub-County and County) to which you are requesting a transfer.
Transfer Date: Specify when you would like the transfer to take effect.
Reason for Transfer: Clearly state the reasons for your transfer request.

Recommendation by Head of Institution: The head of your current institution should provide their recommendation, including their name, signature, and date.
Recommendation by TSC County Director/Staffing Officer (if applicable): In case of transfers outside the county or sub-County, include the recommendation of the TSC County Director/Staffing Officer.
Decision by TSC-CD: For internal transfers within the county or sub-County, the TSC-County Director’s decision should be recorded here.
Notes for Applicants:
Ensure that you fill all sections of the form.
Submit the application in TRIPLICATE (three copies). Two copies must be forwarded to the County director or staffing officer through the head of your institution for recommendation and distribution.
Do not relocate to a new station until you receive an official transfer letter from the Commission/TSC County Director/Staffing Officer.
In general, teachers must serve in the station to which they are assigned to teach for a minimum of five years, unless specific conditions outlined in Regulation 27(2) of the Code of Regulations for Teachers apply.
