Top Ten Most Sought After Schools By 2023 KCPE Candidates: List

Ezekiel Machogu, Cabinet Secretary for Education, has released a list of the top ten sought after schools by applicants who took the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam in 2023.

The CS made the statement on Monday during the unveiling of the 2024 Form One selection and placement results at Lenana School.

Top Ten Most Sought After Schools By 2023 KCPE Candidates: List

Kabianga High School is the most desired institution, picked by 186,357 pupils despite having a capacity of only 672.

Nanyuki High School is the second most popular choice, with 158,741 applicants fighting for its 480 available places.

With a capacity of 384 students, Pangani Girls secured the third spot as the choice of 144,542 students.

143,723 pupils choose Kapsabet Boys, which has a capacity of 432.

Chosen by 135,033 pupils out of a total capacity of 384, Alliance Girls’ High School secured the fifth spot in the rankings.

Maseno School, which has a capacity of 672 students, was the sixth most popular choice, getting 123,777 applicants.

Nakuru High School, with a capacity for 480 students, attracted the top choice of 115,513 students.

Butere Girls High School secured the eighth position, chosen by 114,635 pupils, and accommodates up to 480 students.

Mangu High School, with a capacity for 480 students, was selected by 112,938 applicants.

Alliance High School, with a capacity of 384 rounds out the top ten with 110,839 student applicants.

The applicants, who completed their exams a month ago, will begin Form One at their respective schools on January 15, 2024.
