Top KCSE Performers Secure Sh980 Million Prestigious Scholarships (Ivy League Universities)
A group of 22 top performers in the 2023 Kenya Certificates of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams have been awarded a scholarship totaling Sh980 million.
The scholarship seeks to enable the students to gain admission to prestigious Ivy League universities and colleges.
The students were part of the Kenya Scholar Access Program (KenSAP), a local education initiative.
KenSAP offers a free residential university access program lasting nearly six months, during which students are guided through the American university application process and taught the skills needed to excel in American universities.
The scholarship packages provided by the universities cover a comprehensive range of expenses, including tuition fees, accommodation, meals, travel costs, and other costs of attendance.
During a dinner gala to celebrate the scholars, Charles Field-Marsham, the Principal Benefactor and Chairman of KenSAP’s Board of Directors emphasized KenSAP’s role in nurturing the brightest minds in Kenya from disadvantaged backgrounds.
He stated that KenSAP is a testament to their commitment to providing exceptional students with the resources they need.
By investing in these students, they are not only investing in their futures but also in the future of the country, bringing bright Kenyan minds to places all across the world.

KenSAP continues to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the students while they are studying at university.
This financial assistance ensures that the scholars can focus on their academic pursuits without the burden of financial constraints, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in their new educational environments.
