Patrick Nzioka, the younger brother of the deceased watchman, recounted receiving a morning call from one of the cooks who conveyed the distressing news.

Nzioka proceeded to the school where he discovered the lifeless body of the guard, with blood seeping from the mouth and nose. The deceased, the seventh child in his family, had only begun working at the school a week earlier.

Athanus Ndolo Mutinda, an eyewitness and local businessman, urged authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

He noted the disturbing similarity to a previous incident at Kyamulendu Secondary and Primary School where another watchman was killed.

Mutinda expressed concerns about the rising crime wave, suggesting the presence of an organized gang causing terror in the area.

Lucas Ndambo Mutuku, the assistant chief of Kathaana sub-location, confirmed both the burglary and the watchman’s murder.

He reported having informed the area’s law enforcement, including the OCPD and OCS, who promptly arrived at the scene to commence investigations. Subsequently, the police removed the body and transported it to Kangundo Hospital mortuary for further examination.
