Students of a mixed and boarding secondary school in Migori County, Kenya, were shocked to discover one of their teachers dangling from a tree on the school’s parade ground.

According to a statement released by police on Tuesday, September 12th, the teacher had an argument with his wife, after which he retreated to a local pub.

After his drinking binge, the teacher went to school, where security officers let him in without knowing he had suicidal intent.

According to the police statement, he entered the school premises at night and proceeded to the parade ground, where he tragically ended his own life.

The teacher’s corpse was discovered in the morning as students prepared to begin classes.

Preliminary investigations have indicated that prior to this incident, he had engaged in disputes with his wife. It was noted that the teacher had been traveling between his rural residence and the school.

According to the police, the secondary school teacher never returned home but was spotted at the local market with companions.

Additionally, there were reports that on the evening of the incident, he had been observed making multiple phone calls, presumably engaged in arguments with the caller, who was believed to be his wife.
