Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Announces Top Administrative Vacancies
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced its intentions to fill administrative roles left vacant over the past two years.
These positions have become available due to various reasons, including resignations, mandatory retirements, and the creation of new roles outlined in the Career Progression Guidelines.

In an official advertisement, the TSC has called for suitable candidates who are qualified, experienced, results-oriented, and highly motivated to apply for these vacancies.
The positions in question span across several departments, including the directorate of teacher discipline management, staffing, human resources and development, internal audit, information communication and technology, as well as thirteen deputy director roles in teacher management.
While some positions like the Deputy Director of Teacher Management require candidates to be at grade 5 level (comprising deputy principals and senior masters), others necessitate applicants to hold at least the position of deputy headteacher in Grade 3.
These roles will be filled on a contractual basis, and the commission has expressly encouraged individuals with disabilities to apply. Prospective candidates have until February 21, 2024, to submit their applications before the close of business.

In January of the previous year, Rita Wahome, the former Director of Staffing at TSC, tendered her resignation after serving for four years and four months.
Antonina Lentoijoni, who was the deputy director in the directorate of staffing, has since assumed her responsibilities, functioning in an acting capacity as the head of the directorate.
Earlier this year, the TSC faced uncertainty following the resignation of several senior officers. Isaac Nganga, the director of Internal Audit, and Charles Gichira, the director of ICT, were among those who resigned.
Additionally, Dr. Julius Olayo, who served as the Director of Human Resource Management and Development, also stepped down after three years with the commission.
Subsequently, he secured a position at the Kenya Forest Services as the Deputy Director of Human Resources and Administration.
