Teachers Promotion Recruitment in Full Swing as Successful Interns Gear Up for Reporting
On Monday, 26th June, 2023, the successful recruited intern teachers are required to report to their assigned schools.
This one-day period will allow the newly recruited teachers to familiarize themselves with their respective educational institutions, connect with colleagues, and receive any necessary orientation or induction.
It is a critical step toward integrating the new teachers into the school community and ensuring a smooth start to their teaching careers.
The internship period is set for a duration of twelve (12) months.
This extended timeframe provides aspiring teachers with ample opportunity to immerse themselves in the teaching profession, hone their skills, and gain practical experience within an educational setting.
While the internship is not a remunerative engagement, teacher interns attached to secondary schools will be eligible for a monthly stipend of Kshs. 20,000/-.
It is important to note that this stipend will be subject to statutory deductions, where applicable, ensuring compliance with legal obligations.
Upon successful completion of the Internship Programme, teacher interns will be awarded a certificate.
This recognition serves as a testament to the intern’s dedication, commitment, and accomplishment during their tenure as they transition from interns to qualified teachers.

TSC is diligently conducting interviews to ensure that the most suitable candidates are selected for promotion positions.
Following the completion of the interviews, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will communicate the results to the successful candidates next month between Monday, 24th and Friday, 28th)
The successful applicants will be informed of their selection and provided with further instructions for the next steps in the recruitment process.
