Students Vacate School Accusing Principal Of Being Intolerable.
Students at St.Hillary Mitamisyi Secondary School in Ngomeni Ward, Kyuso Sub-County, Kitui, have walked out, claiming that the current school principal is intolerable.
The school had a total of 138 students, but since a new principal was appointed, the number has been reduced to 16 students, all of whom are candidates for four positions.
Students say that since the new principal was posted there in January 2020, there have been misunderstandings among the teachers, parents, students, and other workers in the school, resulting in some of the workers being fired unfairly.
When the school opened for the third term, the whole school resumed but shortly after, form 1 to 3 students went back home claiming that they were being mistreated by the teacher.

Only sixteen formed four students were left in the school.
The students have been going on and off the school from time to time, disrupting studies.
A week ago, the students vacated the school and resumed on Tuesday to study for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, but they threatened to return home if the said teacher, who is currently not in the school, reports back.
One of the parents, Peter Kim, told Ebru TV that the teacher is so humiliating that she insults parents in front of the students.

He also stated that most parents have transferred their students from the school because they could no longer tolerate the teacher’s frequent insults and humiliation.
