The reduction in fees is a welcome development for those seeking employment opportunities abroad. The Ministry emphasized its dedication to improving the labor market by reviewing costs, services, and systems in alignment with economic variables.
As part of these efforts, the Ministry highlighted the importance of fair market prices and the regulation of recruitment fees. The implementation of these changes will be facilitated through the Musaned platform, an electronic system designed to integrate and organize the labor recruitment process from offering countries.
It’s not just Kenya benefiting from these positive adjustments. Other nations, including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Uganda, Burundi, and Ethiopia, will also experience similar changes.
The move aligns with the Kenyan government’s ongoing efforts to facilitate the overseas employment of its citizens. According to Hussein Mohammed, the Statehouse spokesperson, over 310,000 jobs have been secured for Kenyans in various foreign countries.
