Safaricom partners with Zeraki to Offer Online Learning Materials for High School Students.Secondary school students may now obtain revision resources at a reduced cost through mobile or computer.Zeraki, a digital learning platform, has collaborated with Safaricom to provide a daily membership of Sh20.The money may be debited from either airtime or Mpesa and is accessible via the My Safaricom app.In a news statement, Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa stated that the investments in education are intended to close present gaps and increase young employability.“Through the partnership with Zeraki we want to ensure that the platform makes digital education accessible and affordable,” Ndegwa said.With the Safaricom provision, the platform’s Chief Operations Officer Eric Oude stated that it will be available even to learners in remote places.Oude went on to say that the application has been free since the start of Covid-19 to provide students access to the topics.“With time, like after a year we will now start charging to access the app, you will have to pay a certain amount of subscription fee,” Oude said.The digital platform includes two applications: one for learners and one for administrators, Zeraki Analytics.Teachers may upload and check assignments using Zeraki Analytics, while parents can examine their children’s results.The platform includes a method for collecting and evaluating data from students.This is accomplished through an interface that allows for results analysis, mark input, and mass message to parents.For instructors, the findings of Zeraki analytics enable them to examine and display data.Thirty secondary schools in the country are already using the platform to access digital learning.Safaricom partners with Zeraki to Offer Online Learning Materials for High School Students
